In January 2024, the Manala Foundation successfully implemented a health support initiative aimed at improving the well-being of vulnerable children in Kahama. The Foundation provided **comprehensive health insurance coverage to 60 orphans** residing at the Mwime Orphanage Centre. This intervention ensures that the children will have timely access to quality healthcare services, reducing the risks associated with untreated illnesses and medical emergencies.
This program strengthens the overall welfare of the orphans and supports the orphanage in meeting the needs of the children under its care, reflecting our dedication to lasting impact through health and community empowerment.
In April 2024, the Manala Foundation successfully implemented its scholarship support program. A total of 18 students from economically disadvantaged households benefited, ensuring their children could continue pursuing education without the burden of financial hardship. The scholarship specifically supported students enrolled at Nyandekwa Secondary School and Isagehe Secondary School.
The assistance covered essential school-related expenses, enabling the students to attend classes consistently and focus on their academic goals. This intervention reflects the Foundation's ongoing commitment to promoting equal access to quality education and breaking the cycle of poverty through empowerment.
